If you missed Apple’s announcement on Wednesday and didn’t want to search around looking for all the information regarding the iPad (yes, iPad not iSlate) here is a great list of the Top 10 Things You Need To Know About The iPad Tablet Computer this quick list will give you the run down of the gadgets best features.

2. The design. It’s super thin (half an inch thick) and, at 1.5 pounds, it’s lighter than the lightest netbook, according to Jobs. It also looks exactly like a giant iPhone. The question is: Will iPhone owners want one? How about laptop owners? Jobs argued that it surfs the Web and browses media better than either of those devices, but will it be that much better? It doesn’t fit in your pocket like an iPhone or provide as robust an experience at your desk – though it could be ideal for lounging around. That Jobs did the demo while sitting on a couch with the iPad on his lap was no accident. Still, it’s a new category of devices – and only time will tell if it finds traction with consumers.

3. The apps. It can download and run all the apps iPhone users already know and love, straight out of the box. How does it do it? By a process called pixel doubling – essentially stretching them to fit the iPad’s screen. The really exciting part, though, is the wide range of new apps to be built specifically for the iPad. One of those demoed Wednesday was from MLB.com, which has taken its popular At Bat app for the iPhone and turned it into a much richer experience, with live video, scores, highlights and more all on the screen at once. The possibilities for your commute – and especially your armchair – seem endless.

The awesome and very talented Mari Smith wrote an amazing guest post about how to better engage facebook fans on the Social Media Examiner blog. She dives in deep to provide excellent tips on how to get the most out of your community whilst providing helpful and interesting content. It’s really worth checking out the post if your new to Facebook or interested in using it as a marketing tool.

1) How Often Should You Post?

For most fan pages, there is a direct correlation between frequency of posts and number of fans. Frequency is king, but there’s a fine balance – you don’t want to overwhelm your fans.

If you’re just starting out with your fan page, I would suggest a minimum of one update per day and increase from there to several times a day (mixing up the types of posts – see below) if you’re getting a good response from your fans.

Daily posting (at least Monday through Saturday) should yield daily comments and engagement.

You’ll find the right rhythm with your fans. Better to start with once a day than several times a day and have your wall filled with only your own posts.

Also, keep in mind “high traffic windows.” Depending on your time zone and the time zone of the majority of your fans, you’ll probably want to post sometime between 8:15am PST and 2:00pm PST.

Finally, its here! On Wednesday, January 27th; Apple announced the long anticipated iPad. Now, is this a game changer for the journalism industry and many others or just another must have gadget for the “fan boys” ? There is no doubt that Steve Jobs is a excellent leader and visionary, and has yet again blew everyone away with the thought and care that has gone into creating such a beautiful designed gadget. Nieman Lab states five thoughts on how the iPad will (and won’t) revolutionize the news A great point was that it will have a great impact on consumer behavior by blowing the Kindle and other e-readers out of the water.

— It will have a real impact on consumer behavior. This thing’s going to be popular — I suspect it’ll sell at multiples of the Kindle (assuming Amazon ever decides to tell us how many Kindles they sell). And the form factor will be attractive in a lot of contexts, and that’ll likely increase the amount of news and information that people consume. Anyone who loved the Kindle will love this (unless they’re e-Ink junkies), and the iPad will also appeal to big crowds who would have never thought of a Kindle — gamers, mobile workers, YouTube addicts, and more.
