It can be difficult to find the ultimate resource for learning web design/development

I like A List Apart (http://www.alistapart.com) for its mix of programming snippets, user interface design and discussions on web content.
I also like CSS Tricks (http://css-tricks.com/) and they’ve started doing screencasts.
I recommend both of these resources for my web design students, and many of the ones you listed above. W3 Schools is a great place to start out.
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the comment Amber.
Those are great recommendations, I knew about CSS Tricks but not about A List Apart.

Thanks for the comment.
Basically I just listed the websites that I’ve found helpful. I’m still learning web development, and always looking for new sites to gain knowledge from.

Nice list! I’d also recommend A List Apart, http://www.alistapart.com/, but have you guys ever read the blog of Roger Johannson?
He’s one of the best front-end developers I’ve seen online. I love his posts. I can highly recommend him. Check out his site at http://www.456bereastreet.com/.
